Requirements
Minimum qualifications
- Strong alignment with our mission and experience working in AI safety
- Strong writing and editing skills, with a portfolio of published work that demonstrates an ability to explain technical subjects to non-specialist readers
- Familiarity with how frontier AI systems are trained, evaluated, and deployed
- A track record of shipping accurate, polished work on short deadlines and under pressure
- Ability to work with subject matter experts to understand technical concepts and fact-check assertions
- Strong judgement about how to incorporate legal, policy, and reputational considerations into the work
- Comfort taking ownership in a fast-moving environment where processes are still taking shape
Preferred qualifications
- Experience writing or editing safety or security reports, postmortems, transparency reports, or similar public disclosures
- Experience as a technical writer or editor at a technology company or research lab
- Comfort working in a content management system (CMS) and publishing web content
- Experience using AI tools like Claude to streamline editorial processes
The annual compensation range for this role is listed below.
For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role.
