What will be your mission(s)?
As a Business Development Representative at Spendesk, you are a key driver of our sales engine in the French market.
You identify and engage with high-potential companies, generate qualified business opportunities through targeted outbound prospecting, and work closely with our Account Executives to support the growth of Spendesk.
This is a hands-on, commercially accountable role.
You will be measured on the quality of the opportunities you generate, the qualified meetings you book, and the pipeline you contribute to.
You will play an essential role in creating new business opportunities and helping Spendesk reach more finance and procurement leaders across France.
Requirements
What we expect from you
Build and own your prospecting strategy: identify ideal customer profile accounts, map relevant stakeholders, enrich and prioritise your target lists, and ensure your outreach is always tailored to the right segments, companies, and personas.
Generate qualified business opportunities: run high-volume, multi-channel outbound campaigns, including cold calling, email, and LinkedIn outreach. Own your daily activity and call cadence, consistently achieve your meeting targets, and continuously improve your approach based on results.
Qualify prospects effectively: understand prospects’ business challenges, current processes, and priorities in order to identify relevant opportunities for Spendesk and qualify them against clear business criteria.
Partner closely with Account Executives: ensure smooth handovers, share relevant prospect insights, and work together throughout the sales cycle to maximise conversion from first meeting to closed deal.
Contribute to the team’s success: share best practices, participate in team coaching and training sessions, and help continuously improve our messaging, processes, and sales playbooks.
Develop your sales career: build strong expertise in outbound sales, spend management, and the challenges faced by finance and procurement teams. With the right performance and development, you will have the opportunity to grow into an Account Executive or another role within our commercial organisation.
What we're looking for
You have previous experience in B2B sales, business development, lead generation, recruitment, customer-facing roles, or a similar environment. We are also open to candidates with a strong internship or apprenticeship experience who are ready to take the next step in their sales career.
You are energetic, resilient, and not afraid of the phone. Cold calling motivates you rather than scares you, and you enjoy creating conversations with people you have never spoken to before.
You are organised and rigorous, able to manage your own prospecting lists, activity levels, follow-ups, and priorities autonomously.
You are commercially minded and results-oriented. You enjoy working towards clear objectives, measuring your performance, and finding ways to improve your results over time.
You are a strong communicator in French, both written and spoken. Professional English is a plus, as you will be working in an international environment.
You are curious, coachable, and eager to learn. You welcome feedback, take ownership of your development, and are motivated to build a long-term career in B2B sales.
You are comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambitious environment where priorities can evolve and where autonomy and initiative are highly valued.
