About the team
If you're a finance professional who thinks in processes and speaks the language of data and systems, this role was built for you.
You'll own the end-to-end accounting processes behind SumUp's core financial products: payments, banking, and lending. It's a role where finance meets technology and analytics — and where your ability to bridge these worlds will have a direct impact on how SumUp scales globally.
This is an individual contributor role with significant cross-functional influence, reporting directly to the VP of Finance Operations.

Requirements
What you'll bring
- A strong accounting foundation with genuine comfort working with large, complex datasets

- A strong risk and controls mindset — able to identify financial and operational risks, assess potential impacts, and implement controls that protect data integrity, financial accuracy and compliance
- Experience working with SAP financial modules, including SAP S/4HANA and SAP FICO
- Comfortable working with technology teams — you don't need to be technical, but you can translate finance requirements into something they can act on
- A process improvement mindset — you're energised by finding better ways, not maintaining the status quo
- Background in banking, financial services, or a high-growth fintech is preferred
- A Master's degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus
