What you’ll be doing

Let’s get the tricky part out of the way: this role doesn’t fit neatly into a traditional box. It combines tax or audit expertise, product knowledge, client relationships and practical implementation.

As a Legal Engineer in our Paris team, you’ll help tax and audit professionals put AI to work in their day-to-day practice. You’ll work with clients from the first demonstration through pilots, onboarding and wider adoption, understanding what they need and building workflows that hold up in real engagements.

Some of what you’ll be doing

  • Understand the work. Work with tax partners, audit leaders and their teams to identify where Legora can make a meaningful difference, from tax research and advisory to evidence review and audit documentation.

  • Build and test workflows. Translate client needs into working use cases, check outputs against source material and professional standards, and refine the approach with the people using it.

  • Run demonstrations and training. Lead clear, practical sessions grounded in the client’s own work, adapting your approach for practitioners, partners and innovation teams.

  • Own pilots and rollouts. Agree what success looks like, keep stakeholders and timelines aligned, and help teams move from initial experimentation to regular use.

  • Support commercial conversations. Work alongside Go-to-Market and Customer Success colleagues to demonstrate value, address objections and identify opportunities to expand adoption across teams and service lines.

  • Help improve the product. Bring client needs and product gaps back to Product and Engineering with clear examples and enough evidence to act on.

  • Make good work reusable. Turn successful engagements into templates, guides and playbooks that colleagues and clients can use again.

Requirements

What you bring

You come from tax, audit, assurance or a closely related advisory practice. You may have trained at a Big Four firm, worked at another professional services firm, or built your experience in an in-house function. Perhaps you’ve already moved into innovation, technology implementation or consulting.

You understand the pressure of client deadlines, the importance of defensible conclusions and how much work sits behind a finished report or piece of advice. You also have ideas about how that work could be done better.

You’ll thrive in this role if you

  • Have practical experience in tax or audit and can discuss the work credibly with experienced practitioners. You don’t need to be a specialist in both.

  • Are genuinely curious about generative AI and enjoy learning new tools. You don’t need to be a software engineer or have held a Legal Engineering role before.

  • Communicate clearly, whether you’re explaining a technical concept, leading a workshop or handling a difficult question from a partner.

  • Can organize a engagement, keep commitments, and flag problems early

  • Understand the commercial realities of professional services, including engagement economics, client expectations and the balance between speed and quality.

  • Take initiative, respond well to feedback and learn quickly when faced with an unfamiliar problem.

  • Communicate fluently in French and English.

  • Are based in Paris, or willing to relocate, and able to work from the office five days per week.
