Staff Engineer

Cross-Team Technical Initiatives: Take on large, complex initiatives that span several squads and bring them to completion with a high degree of autonomy.

Architecture Decisions: Make and own architectural and technical calls across squads, balancing speed, quality, and long-term scalability.

Technical Leadership Without Authority: Align squad tech leads and engineering managers on technical direction through influence, not hierarchy.

Raising the Bar: Act as the final step of our engineering interview panels and help define what great engineering looks like at Lexroom.

Breadth Across the Stack: Move between frontend, backend, systems, and architecture problems wherever the company needs you most.

Seniority: 8+ years in software engineering, with recent experience as a Staff, Principal, or Founding Engineer, Architect, or startup CTO.

Systems at Scale: Hands-on experience designing and running complex, large-scale distributed systems.

Technical Breadth: Comfort across the stack, and a track record of owning problems outside your core expertise.

Ownership & Influence: Proven ability to drive cross-team initiatives end to end and shape decisions of teams you don’t manage.

Diverse Contexts: Experience in different tech companies, startups, scale-ups, or big tech, where you’ve faced real complexity.

Language: Fluent in English; Italian is a plus.
